The Plunge & The Well
Sunday, Aug 1, 2010 @ 4:30pm & 6:30pm @ NRCC South Campus

Who Am I?

This week we will spend some time discovering that what we are attached to determines who we are.  Are we building our identity on something that will let us down or break our hearts?  This message will help our students identify if they are attaching themselves to something that will never fail.

The Plunge: Middle School students (Grades 6th – 8th), meet on Sunday nights from 4:30 - 6:00 pm at the South Campus for some small group Bible study, snacks, and some of the wildest game time in the county!

The Well: High School students (Grades 9th-12th), meet on Sunday nights from 6:30 – 8:00pm at the South Campus for worship, snacks, small group Bible study and community building.

GroupLink
Wednesday, Aug 25, 2010 @ 6:30 pm @ NRCC North Campus
Saturdays and Sundays at New River are incredible, but connecting in meaningful relationships is tough if your only connection point with New River is one of our weekend services.

That's why we encourage people to get involved in a Growth Group. Growth Groups are small groups of 5-14 adults who meet regularly for Bible study, prayer, connection, and usually food.  Growth Groups are without a doubt the best way to connect with other New River People like you, but sometimes connecting with the right group can be a little intimidating.

To make it as easy as possible to connect with a group we offer GroupLink.  GroupLink is an hour long event where you'll enjoy some delicious snacks and dessert while you get a chance to mingle with all the leaders and potential members of the groups we'll be offering starting the week of September 13th. You should leave GroupLink knowing the location, start date and time of your Growth Group.  It really is the easiest way we know of to connect within a group.

GroupLink will be August 25th at 6:30 pm at the North Campus.

If you have additional questions, please email the Connections Pastor, Dan at dan@nrcc.net

Peru Mission Trip
Friday, Oct 8, 2010 - Sunday, Oct 17, 2010 @ Peru

Sullana, Peru

Cost: $2,200-2,500

Sullana, a city of 300,000 located in northwest Peru, is in an extremely poor, remote region. Many outlying villages are comprised of mud brick or even cardboard huts, with no running water. Ministry to reach the people for Jesus Christ began in Sullana 4 years ago. The New River team will partner with local pastors to conduct both evangelism by sharing the gospel and also by ministering medically to the Peruvians in the region. Each team member will be assigned a local translator.

Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses are especially needed on this trip in order for the team to provide medical care to the hundreds who seek help at makeshift clinics. At least 6-10 nonmedical personnel are needed in order for the team to conduct thorough village evangelism. Goals are to share Jesus Christ with as many Peruvians as possible, introduce them to basic discipleship principles, and to medically treat those who seek care.

Interested in possibly coming with us?  Click here to register.

If you have questions, please email Dan Dyszelski at dan@nrcc.net
